Subject: RE: Buying farmland wetland credits

The credit system in MN is based on watersheds/service areas. (BSA's) Producers put credits in and sell them to other producers. It is up to the two individuals to determine a price. That being said, I would highly recommend contacting me to exhaust all the appeal rights, reconsiderations, ect provided by the agency to review the "wetland" you are trying to mitigate. In many instances they can be made smaller or even disappear. I review case files for a set fee, provide free phone consults, and most folks get all the info they need from me and never pay a dime. This is a scenario in which you could pay a former agency expert a nominal amount to save thousands of dollars in mitigation costs.
