Was that a split-rim tyre? I don't think any have been sold new this century so they're getting old. Maybe it's time to just discard them and buy a new rim and tyre.
I saw it on Facebook and the news article said it was a baler tire exploded. Was not a split rim. Killed the son and the dads in the hospital still with several facial fractures.
