Subject: Spray drift damage on small trees

Sioux County, NWIA
Neighbor drifted our new windbreak trees with burn down in early May. Looks like there will be permanent damage and growth setback, although none have died yet. Neighbor’s insurance company is supposedly sending a specialist out for a look sometime. What should I be pushing for in this situation? We have certainly lost something here, just not sure how to put a value on it. Trees were doing well and nicely leafed out before the drift hit them.

Pictures are from 1 week after the drift event and currently, approximately 8 weeks after the drift occurred.
