Taking the blades off and sharpening them takes an hour...I mean, I could lift it with the skidloader and lay underneath it. But I'd rather not...
Why are you making this simple task so difficult?
There’s numerous ways to raise the front of the machine and throw some jack stands under the front lip of the deck.
A floor jack under the front lip of the deck.
A farm jack under the front frame.
A block and tackle/chain hoist off a beam or tree limb. The front is not that heavy.
A skid-steer works too I guess if you want to go to that extreme.
Some of those raptor decks work well, some don’t work at all.
There are many decks (open design) that work in all conditions but the clippings will be longer.
The raptor decks are fairly open.
Keeping any deck clean underneath is a constant chore, but greatly extends the life of the deck.
Some decks will scour if you keep at it.
My suggestion:
Sell the machine.
Get a Scag model with the Velocity Plus deck.
or
A Deere model with the HC deck (9-Iron), HC Pro deck (9-Iron Pro), or the 7-Iron deck.
