What’s your ph? We have had this pivot 10-12 years now and I don’t think it is being to hard on the important galvanized parts, I do have a 1/32” coating of white lime stone deposit on most of the pivot now so maybe that is protecting it.

I will say our water has ate up the end gun impeller every year but we finally found a stainless impeller last year so hopefully that’s a improvement


The bad water comes from a creek. Not too bad in the spring. Mid 7 pH. But by fall when flow is down it's mid 8s and so hard you have to be careful to not chip a tooth when drinking it. Mostly calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.

Stukenholtz lab says it can't react with UAN or galvanized coatings but it does.
