^^^This is good advice. On my trucks if the air dryer isn't rusty and looks only couple years old I'll change purge valve once. But if it goes the 2nd time change the dryer. The price compared to the potential problems aren't worth it. Not only on freeze up but also the damage the moisture does to seals valves etc.
