Sickle bar or cutter bar? You can splice kit a sickle or weld them.
..My experience.. a combine head flex cutter bar that holds the guards can last a long time or forever if welded and all turns out well. A 9 foot mower sickle bar has a limed time until it snaps off again.
They are made out of completely different steel fcompared to a combine cutter guard holding bar. | |
