Southeast WI | Much of the time the cheapest thing to do long term is just buy new parts and fix it right by making it new. Expending all the time and energy taking something apart is often most of the cost and couple that with another potential loss of time breakdown? Really depends how you value your time and what your pain and suffering threshold is. Save pennies and lose dollars. I grew up in that environment.
However the first question before proceeding is asking why did it break and fix that first.
