Edge of RRV MN | Metalsales sold through a lumber yard offers steel roofing specifically for curved roofs such as a Quonset. We had a wood roofed one done about 7 years ago and it turned out perfect. Shingles removed then furring strips (we had one rafter with a bow so strips were wedged to hide the bow). The job took more time to remove shingles than anything else. Some contractors do not remove old shingles but that maybe is because it’s labor intensive and adds cost.
