I don’t know if he’ll have a moment of “clarity” for a thoughtful and non confrontational answer. It really seems like something traumatic, happened that flipped a switch.
Usually guys like this flame out.
That's why I added the last line and really toned it back...like I said, we don't know what we don't know. Perhaps something did happen and this is his way of dealing with it.
