EC SoDak | It got a little wild with the wind when it hit an hour ago, should be through it pretty soon and hopefully the corn is fine. The corn was starting to take off growing so it may have been a bit brittle. Short of a problem, it’s setting up to be a good corn crop here. I’d say in the last 8 days we’ve had around 4.5”, then whatever tonight brought. We went into planting without much underneath, so there has been room for most of it.
That Clear Lake to Canby area sure got trained with rain and tornados for quite a while tonight, it will be interesting to hear moisture reports once it’s all said and done.
