Kirkwood Il. | Our 4 kids are now raised. Looking back, I'm proud that Mom was home when School called needing a Room Mother, or one of the kids were sick. House was clean, big garden, books/accounting done at our business, SS Teacher,etc. We didn't make big money, but got by without dish TV, new vehicles, remodeling, etc.
In our early fifty's, our Blue Cross ins runs $380/mo,( me type 2 diabetes) $2500 deduct 80/20, 100% coverage at $3500. All medical expenses, including health ins are tax deductible thru "Agri Plan"
That said, wife took a part time(22 hrs/wk) job when college expenses started to hit, but is quitting soon due to last payment made on Student loans in Dec. This will cause some anger among some of you, but I feel a MAN should proudly be the "bread winner", and have no patience for "whiners". | |
