| My dad had one in the mid 50’s. Will second the heavy bales, especially if hay was a little on the wet side. We were still using forks to lift the bales into the barn. Had to make sure you had a layer or two down before you dropped a load. It would make the barn shake. Those balers put the bales out the side and a curved chute to the rack. Always had a good supply of used baling wire on hand to mend fences, etc . It was almost as handy as duct tape. | |
