| Are there pressure relief caps, not sure that is the correct term, on the cylinder(s)? When we first put our hyd door in our shop we had something similar happen. We had raised the door all the way & left it up for several hours while we were working. Went to let it down & it wouldn’t go down.
Called the manufacturer & they said there was a safety cap on each cylinder that would keep the door from dropping in a line failed. Guy said on a hot day pressure would build up in the cylinder causing the door not to go down. We had to crack a line & let a little oil out & then it went down. Guy said to prevent this raise door all the way up then let it down 6-12”. He said that would give room for the oil to expand in the cylinder without triggering the safety caps. They did send us new caps with lower pressure ratings & haven’t had problems since. That was almost 10 years ago,
