Well……there is that casino deal that I would call an unsuccess…***
I haven’t kept up to this market talk /TPP hybrid lately so I don’t know what dirt is referencing. But I do know this……interest only is lipstick on a pig. History proves that.
Could not believe, in the boom years of e plant building, one local promoter in front of the room proposed that to bankers. He also proposed farmers use their land as collateral for the plant.
Boom and bust railroad history of the 1800’s flashed before my eyes. Trying to digest what you’re trying to convey here Mik. Seems as if you’re poo-pooing the effect interest rates have on an economy? You can absolutely set a big ships course and steer it through rough seas and calm waters with interest rate adjustments. This, combined with common sense federal fiscal responsibility, will provide a stable economy going forward. If the govt lives within its means, it doesn’t have to issue nose bleed rate bonds to finance govt shortfalls due to deficit spending. As far as the Eplant comment, the plants I’m invested in have been by far the best investment I’ve ever been involved in. Dividend returns make my farmland investment returns purchased in same timeframe look silly, and this includes total returns, including appreciation into account.
