Ontario | My brother is an Electrical Engineer. When I was 17 or so, he told me that in order for me to run the farming operation, I had to know how to use an ohm meter. I didn’t realize it at the time, but it was a piece of advice that was right up there as being some of the best advice I have ever received. It enabled me to fix machines, electrical problems in buildings and drying facilities, just to name a few. I even got calls from my neighbours in emergency situations.
I was able to teach other people and my son who has become very proficient at it.
I read the entry below here about checking a fuse. I understand how frustrating it must be for the poor fellow. It made me realize how lucky I am to have had a brother that cared enough about me to help me understand a few things. Thanks brother, you mean a lot to me. | |
