Prairie Home MO | New to me 2003 MX255. Has 7250hrs, CAPS fuel system. Last two days tractor is having issues with losing power. Goes to surgingunder a load being low on power. You can watch the GPH on the corner post and the more GPH the worse it’ll get. Change fuel filter and it will run a few hours before it does it again. Never sets a code. Got bad enough today that it would die going across the field. Would restart and make it to the edge to change fuel filter again.
Shouldn’t this thing set codes if a filter is choked up?
Also if a sensor is giving an erroneous feedback reading wouldn’t it set a code? How “smart” are these tractors?
In the morning I was gonna change the filter again and blow back through the tank but I’m wondering if it’s not so much a fuel issue since there are no codes. Wondering if something isn’t getting warm and faulting out. Any ideas?
