The pop off valve is only for regular thermal expansion and no ignitions source.
Example, If you filled it in the winter over 85% and the summer the heat built up.
IT would blow off no problem.
Soak it with flames, have the expansion higher than it can relieve, and have it purge in fire
i wouldn't roast hot dogs by it...
