In the first pictures did that blue thing engine run away?

Yes, tell us more about the "Blue Thing"—what it is, and what happened to it?

The blue thing is a Almaco 50 plot combine. Twin row so it’ll harvest 2 different varieties at the same time and bag them. Turbo seal went out on the 4 cyl Deutz and it started pulling oil from the pan and ran away. Put a reman engine in it

We had a few of the 50’s. One 40 which is a 2 row increase combine so it harvests 2 rows of the same variety and you bag them in the cab. Has a buddy seat facing rearward to run the manual bagger. One model 5 bagger which is a single row machine about the size of a side by side. The big Almaco was a R2 model. $1.5mil for that. Syngenta bought 3 of them. Syngenta helped design the bagging system in them. Went to Iowa to train on them for a few days last fall. Pretty cool to see 4.5 million worth of combines running in the same little 8-10 acre field.

My first year at Syngenta we had PYT’s which are preliminary yield trials. Had 54,000 different varieties on about 20 acres. Went from cutting beans with two 9250’s and counting the good days as the number of trucks we sent out to cutting 2 rows at a time and counting good days as the amount of QBits we put in the warehouse. A Qbit is the same size as a probox but with a flat bottom.
