Subject: RE: My thoughts on autonomous driving

Hooker Twp,Ne
I live near a county blacktop road. My pickup and everyone else I know says the speed limit is 40 mph. This is a 12 mile stretch. There are no speed limit signs that 12 miles. Have asked the county sheriff what speed limit actually is. (55 mph.) There are many semis that take that road to local E-Plant. Most drive in 55 mph range. There are also many school kids that take that road. Seems they drive 70 mph. At least they pass me like I’m standing still. So now if one or several of these vehicles you speak of where only driving 40mph because that’s what satellite tells them, would that not be a danger. When they can’t get a simple speed limit right then I feel we have a ways to go. Also who is liable if there is wreck and it’s the vehicles fault? The owner of vehicle or manufacturer since it wasn’t programmed correctly.
