Northern IL | We do custom haying. It's nice for cash flow in the summer and it helped us buy newer equipment for our own acres. But it'd be hard to justify the equipment if we didn't have our own acres also. If you get a piece of equipment make sure its a good one and you know how to run it well. People don't like when the custom guy breaks down or does a poor job. Is there something your boss would hire you to do? Seems like that would be a way to get some work lined up before purchasing something. | |
