What I have seen that I think would work good was a pipe cornerpost, then you have the brace pipe welded to the top of the corner, then the other end goes down in a hole filled with concrete. So there is no need for a brace post, and I think it would be stronger too. This area was rocky, so it might have been a way of less digging too.
