That is what mine looks like as well.
When it plugs below the deck plates the stalks can’t get to the stalk rolls so the gathering chains fold the rest of the stalks onto the deck plates.
If you keep the head, next time it happens when unplugging pull stalks and look in that spot below deck plates and in front of snapping rolls. It’s usually an ear of corn.
Can be extremely frustrating.
