Subject: RE: Gleaner 3312 Corn head

I have a 3312c corn head.
On mine the plug begins when an ear of corn (rock, antler, wet dirt) gets stuck just below the deck plates at the front of the snapping rolls. It wedges between the front of the snapping rolls and the bottom of deck plates.
Very frustrating at times. Some varieties with very low hanging ears can be challenging. For me running the head lower, and changing the angle of header has helped. I have not been able to eliminate this problem. Can run in some varieties and fields and not have any troubles, then next variety having to unplug each pass or more often. NOT fun.. I really like this head except for this problem.

I know exactly why you are frustrated , I am as well. On my head it is nothing to do with gathering chains it happens below under the deck plates!
