As others have said, there are AMS substitute products, then there's AMS in liquid form where so many fl ozs (or gallons) CONTAINS so many ounces (pounds) of dry AMS. We use AMS in liquid form, not substitutes.
I always noticed that when we'd dump dry spray-grade AMS into a sprayer, it would turn into a liquid solution. So, you end up there anyway it seems to me.
For a couple of years we even made our own liquid AMS. On a rainy day we'd take pallets of spray grade AMS & pour it into water & dissolve it in a large liquid nurse tank. We then knew how much AMS was in a gallon. We'd pump that amount while mixing & dispensing chemicals. That method worked also.
Now we just buy tanker loads of liquid AMS which is AMS in liquid form, not a substitute. We do not have the plastic bags to dispose of however. |
