What failed on the sprayer?
Bearing in right rear planetary went out. Wheel locked up for just a second but he was running wide open and when it hung it pulled him to the right and down into the ditch. Right front wheel hit a culvert under that road and broke off. Wrecker wouldn’t listen to my suggestion and pulled it sideways up to the road. When the left front wheel went from sliding in the grass to dragging in the gravel on the side of the pavement it broke the wheel tower off. It was cracked from the impact anyway. Totaled it out and the ordered new 4440 showed up 2 days later. Dealer did a quote for Farm Bureau and when it got to $160k he stopped adding things up and made the call for them to total it. It was in pretty rough shape.
Driver was unhurt other than hitting his head on the cab ceiling. Happened mid Sunday morning and we didn’t make it back to the shop yard 3/4 mile away until 4:30.
