Altoona, WI | I've been saying this for several years now, and truthfully, I don't see any of the Big Three making it long term. And they are absolutely 100% correct that they deserve it. If any of them survive, it will be because they were bought out, rather cheaply because none of them are properly positioned for what the future holds, and will not look anything at all like they have in the past.
The cold hard truth is that they have all become fat sows, run by incompetents who are just riding the wave to get pensions, in a stranglehold of union demands, and have seriously failed to pivot their direction properly for the inevitable electric and autonomous vehicle future. The only thing keeping them afloat right now is the U.S. government, protecting them from foreign EV sales that would eat their lunch in less than five years if those restrictions were ever lifted. I am a fan of Trump for sure, but his pandering to the UAW is sickening. | |
