Are you running your chains staggered, or timed lug to lug? I believe with the bolt on plates you have to run them staggered, but did you ever try them timed before?

How fast are you trying to shell? Does it make a difference if you run the deck plates more open?

Sorry to hear of your issues, wish I could be more help, I've not had any real plugging issues!
