They took six of us for training at a local swanky hotel conference room. One of the other guys was a recent immigrant from Ethiopia here for school. He was a little bitty guy.
You had to get all suited up, put on your mask, and then suck in a real strong fast breath to pop the valve on to turn on the airflow to the mask. There was a few seconds where you didn't have any air, and you just had to be calm.
This little 60 pound wringing wet guy couldn't suck in hard enough to open the valve. He panicked and took off running and flailing around. We chased him into the next conference room where a bunch of overdressed old ladies were having a tea party. He knocked over tables of food, and made a big mess before we tackled him and pulled off his mask so he could breathe. It was a deal......needless to say, he didn't pass the test. |
