swmn | I'm looking for real world experience with what to expect for performance from a Raven 500S receiver running GS-Lite correction. My frame of reference would be Trimble's Rangepoint RTX and Deere SF1. Is GS-Lite going to be similar in performance to those signals or closer to WAAS in operation? I am working with a fellow who is trying to use a Raven steering system on a manure tanker on WAAS and there is too much drift from pass to pass when driving back to the site to re-load and return to the field, say over an hour or so. Just trying to determine if unlocking GS-lite on the receiver would be beneficial or if we need to look at going to a better correction yet. Trying to be within about 6 inches give or take pass to pass, probably closer to foot or better of drift on WAAS at times. I know neither Rangepoint nor SF1 are advertised as being very repeatable but my experience has been that they are a fair bit better than WAAS. Just wondering how GS-lite compares. Any thoughts are appreciated. | |
