We have somewhat done this with perennial weeds.
At least since roundup came along.
50 years ago, dad would say pigweed is the easiest weed to kill.
He worried himself sick about Cockleburs.
Now Cocklebur is just about the easiest weed to kill.
One of the big problems with Cucklebur 50 years ago is we thought we had to do Tillage to eliminate them.
Bury the weed seed, we thought.
Now we’ve learned to leave them cocklebur on top of the ground so the Herbicide can do its job!
Pigweeds are just about the most difficult weed to kill. | |
