Frost,Mn | I’m in Faribault County and have 2 septic systems on my place, one for the shop and the other for the house is a mound system and over built because I’m 150’ from the ordinary high water level of a river (shoreland). The shop one was installed in ‘95 and has been grandfathered in as compliant and the house one was installed in ‘09 when a building permit was needed for a shed. We built a new house in ‘17 and used old septic system for new house. Last year I built another shed and the only thing they required for a permit was pumping the tanks as they were over the 3 year required maintenance inspection. I think you need to talk to your county officials. | |
