None of the stuff you are talking about pays didly. You might not like it but you must be young. Forget renting. The only people making any money in that game are landlords. Go get a job with benefits. Save money. Be financially prepared to buy some ground when it comes up. You can keep your name out there by screwing around with the custom work on the weekends. You might make beer money but won't have time to drink any because when you are trying to make someone happy with your custom work you'll be working on the equipment you are wearing out. Good luck but there is very little money in what you are proposing. Im sure several guys will dispute this and tell me how much money they made doing what you are asking but their idea of money and mine are two different things.
