Altoona, WI | The keys were probably still inside the car. Kind of crappy of the cop to charge him in that case though.
I know a guy who got pinched with a DUI who stuck his keys above the visor and fell asleep. Someone called it in, cop shows up, and he was arrested because the keys were inside. Seems I heard once if a person is going to sleep it off in their car, the keys HAVE to be outside somewhere. Whoever I heard it from suggested laying them on top of one of the tires. If that is done, they cannot charge you with a DUI. | |
