No, but that might have been better since it wouldn't have the tendency to "roll out" as it was tightened. I wasn't able to find a flat style of the proper size. I think I saw one on online that might be correct. It was $40 and consisted of a metal portion and a rubber like inner portion.
Rather than J-B Weld someone else mentioned earlier about using silicon. Maybe just silicon caulking would hold. My transfer pump doesn't develop much pressure.
