I remember when we switched from dry fertilizer on the JD 495 planter to liquid on the new IH 400 Cyclo.

But, we cheated on that also. The last few years of the 495 we used a gravity (aka "slant-box") wagon for a dry tender. It beat carrying 50 & 80# bags. Those were the days of 56# seed corn & 60# bags of seed beans also. I spent a couple summers hauling/carrying/stacking bagged fertilizer for a local dealer to customers. Seems that most of his customers wanted their bag fertilizer stored in horse stalls in barns. Usually not a straight shot to get there.

There were only a few people that remained with dry fertilizer on planters. Seems similar deal to liquid AMS. If you feel it's the best product for your operation, stick with it. Don't brag or criticize those that look for alternatives, especially if they have experience with both products..
