southern MN | I think we were less sheltered, and grew up with more practical experience a generation ago.
Need to feed the critters. Need to make hay. Need to go after weeds.
Just need to drink more water take a few more breaks, find a little shade now and then.
We used to be smarter.
You grew up knowing what to do to get through a bit of a rough patch. No big deal if you know what to do, think and take care of things.
I was baling straw by myself the day Cory Strenger died, about 30 miles from me. The Viking player that passed away in heat stroke at football training camp some years ago. That was a mighty hot humid day. No breeze. Stopping and packing bales for 2 loads, I did waste some fuel moving slow, but just have to think it through, work at a pace you can sustain.
