Ne Nebraska | We had a 530 twine tie, which I think a 535 is an improved version with better pickup. I don't know why you would need to be brave to try alfalfa, that 530 we had would bale about anything and was a simple baler.
I think what you will have to learn is optimal settings to keep the net wrap working correctly. There's some good you tube videos on setting these balers. Keep splices in good shape-ragged splices will catch net. Don't overfill baler as the net doesn't have enough proper clearance and will catch. Keep rubber brake pad in good condition, etc.
Have a 569 now and when things stay kept up its a joy to run.
