It’s one of the most frustrating things about AutoPath. I run the end rows and then switch to a standard AB line for that reason.
One thing that helps a bit is if you have the room to hang the boom out a ways, drive to the next pass a few rows farther out than the initial headland pass and the in field pass will come active a little bit quicker.
