My grandpa would go to the ice plant every morning and buy ice to put in the two 10 gallon water coolers he took to the field for the hands to drink while chopping cotton or soybeans. Everyone drank from a dipper that was attached to each cooler.
I still have those dippers attached to the wall in our woodworking shop.
Hadn’t thought about this in many years. I am now older than my grandpa was when he retired.
