A few years ago I learned,
Squeeze the buttons on both side sides of the phone and it automatically dials 911.
Really surprised that nobody had explained that to me?
In my case, it was one of those X style phone holders that squeeze the phone from four directions.
Should’ve came with a warning with that bracket to beware that it could accidentally make a 911 call.
Poor lady on the other end with the 911 desk,
Is probably still talking about that guy that said,
“I didn’t make the call you called me”!
With my new upgraded phone.
I have to take one additional swipe to make the call.
Probably a smart improvement,
Dont feel too bad about it . I cant speak for other FF”s . But i know cheif and i would way rather respond , and its a false alarm . Than to a house burning down or a bad wreck . people want to thank us and say they are sorry for getting us out in the middle of the night . I always tell
them we would rather it be nothing than somthing bad .
I ran 2 of them in the last couple weeks . Ran another that was just a small grass fire . Been nice and pretty quiet for us anyhow . |
