From what I understand it’s genetic.
Mentioned it to my Dr she said the meds are worse than the symptoms. Wife says the more tired I am the more the legs move. She just has an extra blanket as a barrier between my feet and hers.
My wife has it bad. Her feet wear holes in the bottom sheet of the bed at night. I quit sleeping with her because the bed was shaking part of the night. We now have twin beds. She has tried magnesium but it didn’t do much good. Meds helped slightly. It runs in her family. My son inherited it from my wife. When we travel she has to get out of the car to walk around to get the legs to stop moving every couple hours.
Everyone should get out of the car/tractor/vehicle every couple hours and walk/stretch for a few minutes. Sedentary is horrible for most, and will kill those with thick blood. Many do not or have ever heard of Factor V blood disorder. A simple walk around the car 2-3 times is adequate.
That works great for me to. It really helps when you are tired . I have been known to do a few push ups in the field . To get blood flowing good .
