Jackson, mn | The USDA would need to tell the truth with yields. They need to use the higher ever yield at 179 or even use the ten year average at 174 in corn and 50.4 in beans. They need to update planted acres to today’s standards. There is always a loss in farm acres to development and any increase comes from fringe acres that doesn’t yield as well. Western South Dakota and Kansas doesn’t yield as much as suburban Des Moines. It doesn’t matter because the algorithm's and the funds keep pushing the sell button | |
