NW Indiana | You can't simply take the corn acreage and ignore the soybean acreage. The carryout on each determines the ability for acres to switch for the follow season which determines the risk. If the total acreage of the two come down some then we can start talking bullish otherwise it is unlikely that the spread between the two change enough to have much more than a short term pop.
All that said I think the final numbers will be coming down as reports of PP are showing it should.
