I forgot to mention that after we lost the first 2 we revaccinated all the calves and anything born now gets the alpha 7 at birth
You should have given the cows a dose as well, they will pass it on to the unborn calves.
It actually doesn’t pass on to unborn calves. It passes on to calves, through the colostrum, which is why colostrum is so important. The placenta filters everything going to the calf, including vaccines.
