Doesn’t burn as hot.

Acetylene has a flame temp in oxygen of about 5,700°F, propane is more like 4,500 F.

But, propane has no withdrawal limits, right until you frost the tank up, and is stable above 15 psi. So you can throw A LOT of heat at something as a result. My welder guy has a rosebud the size of 3/4” iron pipe, on propane. It will put out some BTUs.
