Subject: RE: Buying your own chemicals

If you buy a name brand residual product from FBN the product will not be warrantied. We ran Accuron bought from them and had poor control. Called our Syngenta rep and he said they wouldn't warranty it because it was purchased through FBN. At an FBN local producers meeting I asked about this and they backpedaled and said its true but they'd take care of us (which meant coupons that were a far cry from what the warranty would cover). We still bought burn down chemicals IF they were less expensive (not always the case).

Even if your local supplier is a tick higher per acre it's worth the cost for the relationship, knowledge, and service. Just do your homework, be ready for a learning curve, ask a lot of questions, and you can be very successful.
