NE Iowa
All news is now sensationalized to the point that I don’t believe what is being said. There may be truth in it but when over exaggerated it is impossible to listen to. In the last two years our local weather guy has cried on air telling people to get to their basements when no tornadoes were confirmed on the ground and there never were any funnel clouds seen. That is crying wolf. I won’t listen.

As for the heat……we are not conditioned for it like people have been in the past. I don’t mind the heat and will work in it whenever I have to. Things are just different now. As kids we would do hog chores in the morning, bale hay all day long, chore in the evening and think nothing of it. It made me strong. In ‘88 I was going into my freshman year. That was a hot summer. When football two a days started I was ready. I hardly felt like I needed a water break during practice and my coaches both knew why. I’d worked all summer in the heat.
