Jackson, mn | I remember in 2020. The funds dropped it down to$3 into August after dropping to 2.87 in May. I didn’t sell a single bushel until fall. The Deracho hit in Iowa and China kept buying. Boy was I a smart marketer. I think I even had three year old corn to sell. I made so much money when the funds finally started buying. The problem is what if there is no drought or Deracho this year. Corn is still over $4 currently. I guess I will need to build another bin or fill my neighbors bins. The free money from the government from this drop will help keep multiple years of corn on hand. I have seen and heard multiple neighbors are hauling in free DP now. Glad it isn’t me because it gets automatically priced in the last week of August and they need to make room for next years crops. | |
