Subject: Planting earlier maturing milo

West Texas
In our area we typically can not get milo planted until mid April and start to run out of the rainy season by mid June. I have been planting an early - mid maturing milo variety that is suppose to be mid bloom at 60 days but seems more like 70-75 days. Thinking of going to a very early variety that blooms at around 50 days. Anyone done this to get it to fully bloom before the rain stops. Thinking it might not have as high a yeild potential but rain is typically my limiting factor. Thinking of planting a dynago variety M54GR24 next year. Have been planting their other varieties and like how they look.
